Explanations of the competencies (evaluation)
The following section provides examples of the competencies that are given in the program evaluation of the studium oecologicum:
Systemic thinking: e.g. making cross-connections between topics
Foresighted and visionary thinking: e.g. acting with a view to the future
Critical thinking and analysis: e.g. questioning things and drawing the right conclusions from them
Interdisciplinary work: e.g. incorporating methods and ways of thinking from other disciplines
Tolerance for ambiguity and uncertainty: e.g. ability to accept and deal with uncertainty, ambiguity and complexity in a situation
Empathy and change of perspective: e.g. ability to empathize with the feelings of another person/group or to understand their plans and intentions
Discussion and cooperation: e.g. representing a point of view on a topic with arguments as well as working together in groups and/or with institutions, etc.
Justice, responsibility, ethics: e.g. forming ethical and moral judgments on relevant issues
Strategic action: e.g. planning, acting and learning, especially in new, unfamiliar situations
Personal commitment: e.g. actively standing up for something that is important to you
