Impact Cup
Sustainability is a joint task for the universities. The sustainability offices receive indispensable support from the expertise and commitment of the departments and central administration.
With the "Impact Cup" sustainability award, the cooperating sustainability offices of TU Dortmund University and Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts thank those institutions, departments or individuals who are particularly committed to the topic of sustainability.
From 2024, the "Impact Cup" will be awarded once a year during the Sustainability Week as part of a casual get-together to which all members of the universities are cordially invited.
Save the Date
The Impact Cup 2025 will be awarded on May 22, 2025 from 17:00 in the kostBar (Emil-Figge-Str. 40).
The cup
The trophies were designed by TU trainees from the Technical Product Design department and built with the support of the TU Model Making Workshop: A floating metal watering can above a green (real!) plant symbolizes sustainability, which should grow through shared care and commitment. Regional and sustainably grown wood was used for the production.

Since 2021, students have been able to acquire skills on the topic of sustainability, which they can prove with the certificate. As an advisory board member for the certificate, the award winner is responsible for the content of the certificate subject area "education" and organizes an interdisciplinary lecture series.
