On June 4, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the 2nd Biodiversity Day will take place at Dortmund Main Cemetery.

More than ever, life takes place in and with nature at all times of the year. But this life, and with it the diversity of flora and fauna, is under threat. It is not just individual species that are affected, but entire habitats, ecosystems and interrelationships.

Many people, clubs, initiatives, associations and organizations strive to protect nature and thus ourselves from harmful interference and thus, also in Dortmund, to preserve the basis of life for flora and fauna.

All of them are tirelessly making their contribution to a world that will still provide the basis for a life in harmony with nature tomorrow and are intensively dealing with the topics of species protection and biodiversity. They take responsibility and have set themselves the goal of protecting or restoring species and their habitats in order to preserve valuable natural assets for our future generations.

Dortmund Cemeteries and the Parks Department cordially invite you to inform yourself, to get into conversation with each other and to become active yourself.

With numerous information booths, lectures, guided tours, hands-on and planting activities, a varied program is offered for the whole family. Please find the complete program in the attached flyer.

An exceptional range of food and beverages will be available for the physical well-being.
