TU-Team again in 1st place at STADTRADELN
- TU News
Even though "Team TU" did not quite reach the goal proclaimed by Christoph Edeler of jointly breaking the 100,000-kilometer barrier, the head of university sports at TU Dortmund University is very satisfied: "We are very happy about the overall victory. And there is a clear upward trend: over 100 more TU members took part than last year. Next year, the 100,000 mark will definitely fall."
Within the TU Dortmund, "Team Math" cycled the longest distance with 12,583 kilometers. So it's no surprise that a mathematician also came out on top in the individual ranking for the entire TU Dortmund: Isabell Strotkamp won the women's category with a distance covered of 802 kilometers, while Timm Treskatis came first in the men's category by a wide margin with 1,651 kilometers.
At the award ceremony with Dortmund's mayor and STADTRADELN patron Thomas Westphal, Team Math accepted the honors on behalf of TU Dortmund as the strongest team in the overall standings. The most successful TU teams and individual cyclists can look forward to another internal award ceremony, at which the TU Dortmund will award its most successful cyclists and teams with non-cash prizes and a challenge cup.
A total of 6,100 people who live, work or study in Dortmund took part in STADTRADELN and covered a total of 1,114,213 kilometers.
