Spin-off from TU Dortmund University Attracts Biotech Community’s Attention

Prof. Daniel Rauh is co-founder of KyDo and professor of Medicinal Chemistry and Chemical Biology at TU Dortmund University.
“KyDo Therapeutics” is a spin-off from TU Dortmund University that has just concluded its first round of financing and successfully secured €4.45 million. The young company develops novel covalent-allosteric inhibitors that are potentially the first of their kind to be used in cancer treatment. KyDo has its scientific roots in Professor Daniel Rauh’s Chair for Medicinal Chemistry and Chemical Biology. In this interview, Professor Rauh talks about scientific innovation, the path to launching the spin-off and Dortmund as a strong location for drug discovery.
