Deutsche Bahn has modernized the Dortmund University stop and installed a photovoltaic system.

Deutsche Bahn has completed the modernization of the Dortmund University stop. The newly installed roofing is equipped with a 200 m² photovoltaic system that generates around 30,000 kWh per year for the stop and can therefore operate part of the station. As a measure on the way to climate neutrality, Deutsche Bahn has invested around 1.7 million euros in the construction project together with the Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Ruhr (VRR). The remaining work will be completed by the end of the year.
