New courses for the studium oecologicum in winter semester 25/26

The studium oecologicum module catalog for the winter semester 25/26 is now available for all students. There you will find courses of the TU Dortmund University divided into basic modules and the five subject areas of the studium oecologicum as well as cooperation offers. Please note further information on prerequisites for the respective courses in the LSF. All information on registration can be found on our registration page.

TU internal events:
In the coming winter semester, the Chair of Bioprocess Engineering in cooperation with the Sustainability Office will again be holding the lecture series "Klima: Wandel, Werte, Wissenschaft", which counts as a basic module with 3 CP for the studium oecologicum. Once again, lecturers will provide exciting insights into climate research from the perspective of their respective disciplines and participants will have the opportunity to engage with the topic in a discussion format following the respective lecture. Students please register in the LSF link above. Employees or external interested parties please use our registration form for the lecture series.

The range of courses on offer may be extended before the start of the semester, as lecturers are currently still being requested.

Cooperation events outside TU Dortmund University:
The sustainability initiative of NRW's Humboldtⁿ universities offers an online lecture series on the topic of effectively shaping sustainability communication - with science, culture & design with 2 CP. The lecture series in the winter semester 2025/26 invites you to discover new ways of inspiring sustainability communication in theory and practice. The lectures from various disciplines will provide insights for an inter- and transdisciplinary group of participants. The lecture series counts for the studium oecologicum in the department "Society" and in the department "Education" and the registration deadline is October 02, 2025 at 3 pm.

The University of Duisburg-Essen (UDE ) is also reopening its course catalog for the "Certificate in Education for Sustainable Development (ESD)". The courses that are activated for the UDE certificate can be recognized for the studium oecologicum. The courses can be assigned to the subject areas of the studium oecologicum. Furthermore, the Ruhr-Universität Bochum (RUB) is reopening individual courses of its "Certificate in Sustainability" for the studium oecologicum. More detailed information can be found in the LSF in the studium oecologicum cooperation projects. The courses can also be assigned to the departments of the studium oecologicum.
