To motivate employees and students of TU Dortmund University to travel by bicycle, two new secure bicycle parking lots are now available.

As part of its sustainability strategy, TU Dortmund University has set out to create secure bicycle parking lots at the university in order to increase bicycle mobility on campus.

In addition to the bicycle parking lot with 84 spaces under the Mensa bridge (see below location A), which has been in operation since April 2023, two new lots have been built. The first lot is located at the, North Campus in the P1 Chemical Engineering parking lot (see below Location B). The second flot is located on the South Campus between GB II and GB III (see below location C). The two new lots each offer 20 spaces. All three lots can now be opened and closed with any transponder. This service is available to all employees by default. Students can request a transponder for the lots using this form and will receive a response in a timely manner. Transponders are issued at Emil-Figge-Strasse 71 via the Department of Construction and Facilities Management. If there are problems with the transponders when opening or closing the lots, please contact the Department 6 by mail.

In addition, the bicycle hub from the InnaMoRuhr research project is now permanently located at the small parking lot at the EF50 building.
